Just like any industry, its focus is to build a connection with its audience - to stimulate each person to keep them captive until they reach the end of the story. Perhaps, to even enjoy it again, tell others about it, and ultimately follow the cast and crew, author, or musician onto their next endeavor. A film, a book, or a CD all market each person who has participated in creating it, which makes designing a story that tells a story an interesting task. You want to be alluring, without giving too much away. It's all part of the process of finding the perfect artwork to showcase your completed works. Having a clear understanding about how this industry works helps me to better communicate your needs on print, and will help you connect your story to the audience.
